Transforming Pakistan into Developed State



   
 
Mr. Kazi Abdul Muktadir, Deputy Governor, State Bank of Pakistan has said that we need to overcome our challenges and follow the guidance of our founding fathers in transforming this country into a truly developed state as envisioned by our Quaid.





A Flag Hoisting Ceremony was held on the 66th Independence Anniversary in the State Bank of Pakistan, Karachi today. Executives and staff of SBP along with their families participated in the event. Deputy Governor State Bank Mr Kazi Abdul Muktadir was Chief Guest on the occasion.

While addressing the audience Mr Muktadir paid rich tributes to the founding fathers of the nation and said that August 14 reminds us of the sacrifices rendered by our great leaders and forefathers who fought for the independence of our nation with a vision to form a formidable country for the welfare of its people.
The Deputy Governor reminded the audience that the Quaid while inaugurating State Bank of Pakistan on 1st July 1948 said in his address that “State Bank of Pakistan symbolizes the sovereignty of our state in the financial sphere”.  Mr Muktadir said that with the establishment of SBP we not only attained independence in our monetary matters but continue to issue and regulate an independent currency.
The Deputy Governor said that it is our duty to transform and develop our country, as envisioned by our Quaid, adding that we should take solace in the guidance of our founding fathers to overcome challenges. He urged upon all employees of the State Bank to continue to stride for transforming this prestigious institution into a leading central bank of the region. ###
